My Conversation with Monica on “Get To Know Her”
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Monica Graves, jewelry designer extraordinaire, as a guest on the Get to Know Them Show to talk about my journey, which has been anything but linear. We covered everything from my early “entrepreneurial” days picking rose petals in England to my roles as a Health Coach and Senior Advisor for Women Entrepreneurs at BDC. To close, we talked about the radical confidence that comes from physical strength, whether that’s hitting a new deadlift PR or mastering a 90-degree turn on a motorcycle.
Many people are surprised to learn that my background is actually in engineering physics—specifically semiconductor lasers. While I loved the science, my heart was always pulled toward entrepreneurship. I’ve owned businesses ranging from women & children’s apparel to web design, and today, I use that “logic-meets-creativity” mindset to help women navigate their own business pivots.
